We’re adjusting – What about ‘Them’?

Times as they are have caused us to make a lot of decisions about our everyday life. And some of those decisions have been difficult. We have cut back on our driving habits and we are watching a lot more closely what we buy at the grocery as well as everywhere else. Dining out has become a luxury rather than casual entertainment.

For some the changes in their lives have been very, very difficult and heart breaking. Giving up homes and moving back in with Mom and Dad or Mom and Dad moving in with their kids. Many are using savings they had not planned on touching. Others are borrowing money just to pay the rent or to buy the necessities of life.

Yep, we are adjusting all over the place. It’s now time for ‘Them’ to adjust too. The ‘Them’ I am talking about is our local, state, and federal leaders. They are going to have to start living within our means. And I don’t mean tomorrow.

We’re tapped out. There just isn’t any more for them to take. And with the most recent economic forecast it is going to take a while for things to improve, a long while. No the sky hasn’t fallen in just yet. But unless everyone works together during these times, including ‘Them’, the sky may just fall in for many.
