A Quick Fix Dish-It’s Cheap Too!While we’re waiting on the economy to find its footing there is one thing all of us still have to do and that’s eat. And by enlarge most of us are looking for ways to stretch out our food budgets. This recipe is not only very economical it’s very tasty and it goes a long way. During my early years with the kids, as now, money was in short supply. With 5 of them every weekend keeping them fed was no easy task. This dish is very simple and very fast to fix. And there are numbers of ways you can serve it up. As far as a name for this dish I never came up with one. The kids though always did and still do refer to them as ‘Dad’s Noodles’. 1 bag of Egg Noodles (16oz.) The above ingredients make quite a pot full. If you find that you don’t need this quantity you can use a half bag of noodles and the smaller cans of soup. Boil the noodles until done and drain off the water. Stir in the Mushroom and Chicken noodle soup. That’s all there is to it. You can add sweet peas to this or anything else you want to try. We always had them with mashed potatoes and what ever else our budget would allow at the time.
