I have been serving the military for over four years. Coincidentally, that's where I met my former husband Jeremie Coppess. After dating for sometime, we were happily married in Anderson, where he had lived with his mom. Immediately we decided we wanted to have children, and began trying. Well, it didn't take long because within five short weeks, we were expecting!
The day I told my husband we were pregnant was the day he walked out on us and never turned back. Our BEAUTIFUL daughter, Maddelynn Kay, is now eight months old.
Despite the fact that the military, and the city of Anderson have been trying to get him to pay child support, nothing has come.
Christmas is now just a couple weeks away, and as Jeremie just flew his girlfriend to Las Vegas for a vacation, I have nothing to give our daughter for Christmas. It will be her first one, and I continue to pray everyday for that miracle. Jeremie is continuing to evade the courts and taking responsibility. I've even begged for diapers.
Just maybe this will get enough attention, or someone's attention, that little Maddy's daddy will be forced to at least acknowledge her existence this Christmas.
