One pound down nineteen to go!I lost that first pound! One down, 19 to go! Join us here at the warehouse on Thursday at 6 PM for Vicki Escarra's presentation and a bowl of chili and you will see for yourself that I am one pound lighter. Just joking of course. About the pound. Not the program. Or the chili! If you haven't been over here, this would be a good time. We will be meeting in a renovated section that most of you haven't yet seen. You will come around to the back of the complex to park but once in through the entrance at Building 4 your will go up the ramp, through Building 3 to the new place at the back of Building 2. It’s a much smaller area to heat and we have some very cold weather predicted for Thursday so you will be happy for that! The area will soon be used for agency pick-ups to keep us from having to raise the huge overhead door and letting in winter. We do lots of deliveries to agencies in every one of the eight counties we serve but some prefer to pick up their orders and now will have a dedicated spot to do so. About that pound - I ate a lot of food to lose that pound. I'm following mypyramidtracker.gov. I enter everything I eat and it kicks out results along with those neat little smiley faces. The idea is that you eat the daily recommended servings of grains, dairy, fruits, veggies, and meat/beans. Not so much on snacks and sweets but it is amazing how you can fill up on the basics. I hope that pound wasn't from something like wearing lighter clothes or a scale mal-function! That would be a bummer! Wish me luck as I keep working on the challenge. You can join up too at www.pfpchallenge.com - every pound lost means that 10 cents is donated to hunger relief!
