My friends -- when they admit to being that -- know that I am a huge, slobbering, giddy fan of the 007 films. Everyone has a vice. I don't drink or use drugs. (Well, except the ones that keep me from honking like a goose and caking my body with cornbread batter.) So I enjoy James Bond films.

The subject of this entry is the title of the theme song for the next film, "Quantum of Solace." It will be a duet, sung by Alicia Keys and Jack White.

Daniel Craig will be back as Bond, which is just fine by me. A die-hard Connery fan, I think Craig is the best Bond since Sir Sean in "From Russia With Love."

And don't ask about the title. Already, there are fans and non-fans all over the world debating its meaning. Hey, it's a Fleming title. It means "a small bit of affection." It means, if a couple has a quantum of solace between them, they have a chance to make it. But if not, their relationship is doomed.

So there. "Quantum of Solace." Learn it. Know it. Love it.
